CGAA 10,000 Shot Club Details

Good and consistent basketball shooters are made in the off-season through proper technique and repetition! Shot club is for all CGAA players from Kindergarten to 8th grade. Shot club is asking for a minimum is 5,000 shots for players currently in Kindergarten - 4th grade, and 10,000 shots for the players currently in 5th - 8th grade WITH A MINIMUM OF 5,000 FREE THROWS! That comes out to about 27 or so MADE baskets a day for kids just finishing 4th grade and younger and about 55 or so a day for kids finishing 5th grade and older. Shots made are just that, balls that actually go in the basket (not shots taken). Remember quality shots are better than quantity. Please use good form, (B.E.E.F). Work on lay-ups, free throws, shot fakes and drives to the basket. Work on crashing (following your shot). The attached sheet will help you track your shots

I encourage all of you to challenge your friends to participate and to compete with.

5K Squared Elite Program
25K Shots Minimum, accomplishing the following
* 5K free throws

* 5K Layups - full speed from Elbow 1K strong hand and 4K weak hand. Spin the ball, catch, shot fake and drive

* 5K Elbow Shots - Make off dribble or spin the ball, catch and shoot

* 5K Baseline Shots - Make off dribble or spin the ball, catch and shoot

* 5K Wing Shots - Make off dribble or spin the ball, catch and shoot

Shots for baseline and wing should vary between 5 - 20 feet - find your sharp-shooting spot.

This program is for the most dedicated player!

Here's how to start:

Send me your commitment numbers along with your coaches names, age and grade to cgaa10kshots@hotmail.com. I will use this number as your "goal". Email your shots made monthly. These shot totals will be put on the website. This is a self reporting program based on the honor system!

Traveling Basketball Players: some coaches have made this shot club mandatory for you, please check with your coach!
