3 on 3 league basketball

Could 3 on 3 Basketball be the Best for Youth Players?

An article describing why 3 on 3 basketball can teach skills to youth players more effectively than 5 on 5.

1st Annual Cottage Grove 3 on 3 Basketball League

This league offers an exciting, affordable opportunity to enhance individual and team skills. The smaller team size increases offensive and defensive opportunities for each player as well as encourages teamwork through basic fundamental team play (pick and rolls, give and go's, back door cuts, etc.) The intent of this program is to provide a fun, competitive learning environment for all players. This is a "non-coached" league. Players form their own teams and will play two-twenty minute games per night.

Mark the dates on your calendar (September 16, 23, 30, October 7, 14). Games will be played between 5:00 and 9:00 pm at the Park Activity Center.

Registration must be for the entire team - Not an individual player. Find a few friends and team up! Online registration is prefered at www.midwest3on3.com or you can complete the form below. If completing the form include a check made payable to Midwest 3 on 3 ($55 per player), and mail to: Midwest 3 on 3, 2110 94th Way, Brooklyn Park, MN 55444.

While it is encouraged that you find players and form your own teams, some players may not be able to form a team. If you would like to play in the league, but do not have enough players to form a team, email Dave Blumberg and he will do his best find a team for you.

  • Complete registration must be received by August 20 in order for t-shirts to be ordered for your team. Sorry no exceptions!
  • Any registrations received after August 20 will need to pay $20 late fee per team and the team will not receive t-shirts. (Late registering teams can elect to order shirts on September 23.)
  • Schedules need to made. No teams will be able to register after September 6.
  • Schedules will be posted on line at www.midwest3on3.com by September 9.
  • Register for the division of your oldest player, unless you choose to play up. Ability levels can vary greatly within each division. Many A-level traveling players choose to play up a division, though it is not required.
